It’s a long way from Coláiste Eoin to the James Connolly Festival 2017, but Rónán Ó Snodaigh lead singer of Kíla and folk legend has made it!. With pitsops along the way at the Glastonbury Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and involvement in Oscar nominated movies, (The band collaborated with French composer Bruno Coulais on the soundtrack of The Secret of Kells which won an Oscar nomination in 2010) Ó Snodaigh and his blistering trad/world music fusion band are by now probably Ireland’s best folk/world musical outfit. This is the musical highlight of the festival and we are delighted that Rónán is taking part.
