Annual James Connolly Lecture: Sister Teresa Forcades
This years lecture will certainly be one of the highlights of the whole festival as we welcome Sister Teresa to the stage to give her outspoken and radical views of society to an Irish audience. A shock this may be for some but Sister Teresa Forcades is a Catalan physician and a Benedictine nun. She is a prominent social activist, focusing on public health. Sister Teresa is a founder of Procés Constituent (PC) and she is well known in Spain for her outspoken criticism of the Government and the EU and the impact of the massive debt heaped upon working people. This lecture, like previous years will be both enlightening and empowering and not to be missed.
